Through the use of advanced technology, CSS created the Common Securitization Platform (CSP) which serves as the resilient engine for our securitization administration business activities. CSS is an indispensable business partner creating profound value for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by managing the issuance of their Uniform Mortgage Backed Security (UMBS) and complex REMIC securitization structures. CSS manages the disclosure process for new and ongoing securitization issuance, the deal modeling and analysis of complex securitization frameworks, bond administration activities and tax preparation and reporting. Today CSS manages over 1 million securities backed by 27 million mortgage loans for approximately $5 trillion in outstanding principal balances.     The Internal Audit Quality Assurance Senior Director is a new role and will work to support the Chief Audit Executive to:
    • Continuously assess Internal Audit's conformance with the Institute of Internal Audit Standards and related Code of Ethics; and
    • Ongoing measurements and analyses of performance metrics such as completing the internal audit plan, cycle time, recommendations accepted, and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong critical reasoning, sound professional judgement, attention to detail, action driven and agile mindset. The individual will primarily support the Internal Audit team and interact frequently with internal and external stakeholders.
      Key Job Functions
      • Develop and maintain a quality and continuous improvement program (QAIP) to test for conformance with IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) and IIA Code of Ethics
      • Periodically evaluate the QAIP with the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) and update the program as internal audit activity matures, or changes.
      • Establish an annual plan to operationalize the QAIP, including ongoing monitoring and assessments that check conformance with the Standards, the quality and supervision of audit work performed, the adequacy of internal audit policies and procedures, the value the internal audit activity adds to the organization, and the establishment and achievement of key performance indicators.
      • Complete reviews and document conclusions including corrective action plans to address areas not in conformance with the Standards, and opportunities for improvement.
      • Track timely and complete remediation of Internal Audit's remediation.
      • Communicate, with or on behalf of the CAE, QAIP results to the Internal Audit team, CSS senior management and board, and external stakeholders.
      • Prepare regular management information reporting, using data analytics, to identify and review Internal Audit operational trends and trends to support Internal Audit's continuous monitoring program. QUALIFICATIONS Education
        • Bachelor's Degree
        • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Minimum Experience
          • Minimum 10 years work experience managing audits within an Internal Audit function
          • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position. Specialized Knowledge & Skills
            • Broad business acumen including general knowledge of Cloud Technology, Mortgage securitization processes, Risk Management principles, and auditing fraud.
            • Working knowledge of internal audit practices with solid understanding of all elements of the International Professional Practices Framework.
            • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate degree of conformance to IPPF and assess efficiency and effectiveness of activity.
            • Strong verbal and written communication skills to relay QAIP results to different senior and separate stakeholder audiences.
            • Developing data analytics and related visualizations, an advantage.
