--- JOB SUMMARY The Sr. Manager, Loyalty Redemption Analytics role is a rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to take part in analytics and modeling efforts related to key aspects of Marriott Bonvoy. As a member of the Owner Analytics (OA) team, this position will focus on (3) workstreams, including redemption, reimbursement, and loyalty program health. In supporting these areas, this role will be responsible for core OA work, including standard reporting, data management, and deep-dive analytics. This position will also participate in the Loyalty Transformation (LT) project, helping Marriott Bonvoy develop a new foundational platform for the next generation of our best-in-class loyalty program. The individual in this role will be expected to quickly absorb knowledge and contribute broadly as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the financial side of the loyalty program, delivering value to the OA team and LT project through thoughtful listening, insightful analytics, and compelling presentation of key findings. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required -- 6+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance. AND
4-year degree from an accredited university in Computer or Data Science, Operations Research, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related quantitative discipline -- Candidates with 4+ years of experience and a 2-year advanced graduate degree will also be considered -- Strong experience querying, structuring, and consolidating data at large scale (billions of records) across disparate systems using SQL -- Demonstrated capability in financial modeling, forecasting and what-if analysis using Microsoft Excel and/or other relevant tools -- Excellent project management skills including stakeholder alignment, timeline management, organization, and clear documentation -- High degree of comfort in reviewing analytical results and techniques at levels ranging from granular detail to executive summary -- Ability to maintain high levels of performance in a remote-work environment in anticipation of the organization moving to a hybrid model Preferred -- Advanced degree in a relevant quantitative discipline -- Experience as an active participant within large-scale corporate transformational projects -- Comfortable with Python, R, and/or SAS including common data science & analytics packages -- Tableau data visualization experience -- Familiarity with commonly used project management & collaboration tools such as Jira and Microsoft Teams -- Hospitality industry experience, especially within Revenue Management and/or Finance -- Experience working within a franchise-focused business -- Passion for loyalty programs and travel CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Support Owner Analytics -- Facilitate "deep dive" analytical work relevant to loyalty program health and key financial program goals -- Support work on the Owner Value workstream designed to illustrate the financial value of Bonvoy for the owner community -- Discover and consolidate additional loyalty metrics as needed for incorporation into existing and future Owner Analytics dashboards -- Produce and enhance standard weekly and monthly reporting following a defined process with existing queries and templates -- Refresh and validate key Owner Analytics data sources as needed during the Modern Data Platform transition period -- Improve accuracy of logic used to calculate preliminary results for specific financial metrics related to loyalty Support Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Transformation (LT) -- Engage with the cross-discipline LT working team as a subject matter expert (SME) for the (3) Loyalty Owner Analytics focus workstreams of redemption, reimbursement, and loyalty program health -- Provide analytical support by compiling / analyzing data and modeling specific aspects related to our focus workstreams -- Partner with the Loyalty Program Analytics team to support the earn, elite benefit, and enrollment focus workstreams -- Produce key presentations and documentation related to our strategic roadmap development, project execution/status, and management for key stakeholders and senior leadership -- Explain complex analytics to a broad audience with varying levels of technical background and understanding GENERAL WORK ACTIVITIES Stakeholder Alignment -- Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders. -- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work. -- Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule. -- Collaborates with internal partners and stakeholders to support business/initiative strategies -- Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand. -- Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc. -- Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities Additional Responsibilities -- Provides information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person in a timely manner. -- Demonstrates self confidence, energy and enthusiasm. -- Informs and/or updates leaders on relevant information in a timely manner. -- Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner. -- Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, organized manner. -- Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up. -- Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.
