Our professional staff applies traditional and cutting edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of corporate finance analyses and as a result of sustained growth, we are seeking a Senior Associate to augment our high performing team with the flexibility to sit in multiple offices throughout our footprint.As a Senior Associate, you will:Primary activities will focus on the valuation of businesses, business interests, and intangible assets for ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718, and ASC 815; complex securities and embedded derivatives; estate and gift tax and charitable contributions; IRC 165, IRC 280, IRC 367, IRC 382, IRC 409A, and IRC 861.Perform purchase price allocations for financial reporting and/or tax purposes under US GAAPAnalyze historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risksAnalyze and challenge assumptions related to future financial projectionsAssist in the development of discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.)Conduct financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis)Perform market/industry research and develop industry growth estimatesConstruct and review valuation and other financial modelsAssist with the design and preparation of valuation reports and other client deliverablesPresent analyses and conclusions to internal management and external client POCs, their boards of directors, and to fiduciariesWork closely with Associate level personnel, directing engagement activity and providing review and mentorship as neededWhat you bring to the role:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree and/or certifications including ASA, ABV, CFA or CVA not required, but nice to haveMinimum 2+ years of demonstrated experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environmentFunctional understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitationsA fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applicationsDemonstrated technical skills working with financial models in ExcelAbility to travel up to 10%What you can expect from us:Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect.The opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you.A collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development.Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing.Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work.Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures.About Cherry BekaertCherry Bekaert, ranked among the largest assurance, tax and advisory firms in the U.S., serves clients across industries in all 50 U.S. states and internationally. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $139,200. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
