Summary

You will serve as a SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the Board of Regents Division, Office of the Vice President of External Affairs of the UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.

Responsibilities

  • You will, as the Director provide leadership, direction, oversight and program management for the Board of Regents (BOR).
  • You will serve as a Designated Federal Official (DFO) preparing and submitting reports and documents required by Federal Advisory Committee Act and the DOD Federal Advisory Committee Management Program to ensure compliance with accrediting bodies.
  • You will arrange travel and file reimbursement, timesheet entry and human resource obligations for Regents, and maintain of the Board's Uniformed Services University (USU) website.
  • You will prepare and submit reports and documents required by the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and the DoD Federal Advisory Committee Management Program to ensure compliance with DoD and FACA standards.
  • You will be responsible for approving, calling, attending and chairing board meetings, as well as developing meeting agendas.
  • You will ensure accurate records are kept of the Board's deliberations, recording necessary meeting activities to prepare minutes.
  • You will ensure that all Board business is conducted in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

      Qualifications

      Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Establishing meeting schedules or agendas to disseminate or communicate university information to key stakeholders (e.g. managers, senior leaders, or board members).
