Counselors are responsible for the daily operations such as
following and implementing lesson plans, assuring the safety and
supervision of a specific group of children. This is a part time,
seasonal position that runs June 8-August 21. Camp training will
begin late May. NOTE : Because this position will involve routine
interaction with children, all candidates must successfully obtain
the following clearances PRIOR to beginning employment: PA State
Police criminal history record, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI
Fingerprint-based criminal history clearance. If you do not already
have these, please follow this link to begin the process of

recommend obtaining these as soon as possible to ensure your
employment can begin promptly, as results may take up to 4 weeks to
arrive. You must possess the “Employment” versions of each

of all lesson plans and daily schedules Provide consistent
supervision of campers, focusing on safety at all times. This
includes adhering to Child Abuse Prevention procedures, sign in/out
policy, completing incident reports and monitoring attendance Greet
and welcome parents and children in a warm, friendly, and timely
manner Initiate, develop and maintain personalized relationships
with parents and their children Professionally and promptly handle
parent concerns, complaints and inquires Resolve child conflicts in
a prompt and professional manner Maintain a safe and healthy
environment for children to play Engage and interact with children
of all ages and personalities All other duties as assigned
Requirements: Basic Qualifications PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI
Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance: Must be dated within the
past 5 years and specifically for employment (not volunteer). NOTE:
If you do not have already these clearances, you will be provided
with instructions when an offer of employment is made. Results can
take up to 4-6 weeks. Both clearances must be presented before
employment can begin. Must be 18 years of age or older Minimum of 2
years’ experience working with children in recreational or
instructional setting Must have dependable transportation to and
from work Interactive and engaging with children of all ages and
personalities Dependable transportation to and from work Language
skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the
ability to read and interpret written information and speak and
understand verbal communication Ability to fulfill the physical
requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as
necessary Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include
evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed Authorized to work in
the United States Preferred Qualifications Current CPR/AED
certification Must be able to follow directions both written and
verbally Pursuing a degree in education, recreation, sports
management, or related field Highly dependable with a history of
consistent attendance and punctuality

Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot
traffic and frequent large crowds. The team member is occasionally
required to work outside where he or she will be subject to
environmental conditions. Physical requirements: While performing
the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required
to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work
area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms,
lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team
member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He
or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the
accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Lifting
requirements: The team member will occasionally be required to
lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically
moderate to loud.
