Job Description:

The St. James is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach (Part-Time) at its Bethesda, MD location. -The St. James is building the premier sports, wellness, and active entertainment platform in the country, with a mission to maximize human potential by designing, developing, and operating destinations that engage, inspire, and empower people to pursue their passions and be their best at play, at work and in life. - Our Performance Clubs are an elite approach to health, wellness, and human performance, providing the opportunity to leverage tools utilized by professional athletes to maximize their potential - namely performance training, nutrition, and recovery. - In short, it's a space designed, outfitted, and programmed to allow everyone to train like an athlete. -The Strength and Conditioning Coach will lead and/or assist in the delivery of high-performance training programs to individual, semi-private and groups of different ages & abilities. - The Strength and Conditioning Coach will report to the Director of Performance. - This is a part-time position with possibility to work up to 30 hours per week. - The coaching hourly wage will be commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. -There are also opportunities to make commission based pay based on self generated revenue coaching private, semi-private and group sessions. -Please see qualifications to be considered for this position below. -RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and deliver effective strength and conditioning programs to help clients of all levels and abilities achieve their performance -goals. - Conduct -warm-ups, movement skills sessions, strength & power sessions, recovery sessions -and performance testing sessions for The St. James' teams, athletes, and clients.Track athlete or client -progress through monitoring and evaluation strategies. -Communicate effectively with sport program directors, coaches, athletes, parents and other clients. -Assist in customer service, business development, and marketing efforts to help grow the business. -Inform the Director of Performance about -any issues and work with them to provide effective conflict resolution.Help ensure facility cleanliness, organization and maintenance.Support -the safety of all members, guests and employees. -QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or a relevant field of study from an accredited institution. -Current Strength & Conditioning certification -(NSCA CSCS -or equivalent). -Current CPR/AED certification.Ability and experience instructing -entry level skill athletes -through advanced athlete. - -Previous strength and conditioning experience with -youth, adult -and/or college athletes -preferred. -Strong work ethic and organizational skills within a dynamic environment.Great customer service and communication skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Knowledgeable of safety training, procedures and best practices used throughout the sports and wellness industry. -ADDITIONAL INFORMATION All positions are conditioned to a clear background check and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.For more information, please visit our website: m The St. James is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
