Job Description:

Job Responsibilities: * Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot: firewalls, network-based intrusion systems, web proxies, network-based dynamic malware engines, and endpoint security solutions. * Manage Cisco ASA platform including but not limited to licensing, update management, patching, and inventory. * Monitor the ticket queue for new requests. * Capture new requests as tickets, and document progress towards fulfillment in the ticket. * Work with requestors to capture and document explicit business, functional, and technical requirements. Document, update, and maintain accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Support infrastructure deployment, and operational tickets including policy review, testing deployment. * Draft change control documentation and employ approved change management practices to authorize work activities. * Draft, update, and maintain system documentation. * Employ the System Development Lifecycle for all managed security systems.Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience. * 3-5 years in network security, network engineering, or similar * Knowledge of HTML and web scripting Experience with the following technologies: * Splunk * Cisco ASA firewallsPosition is primarily telework but candidates must be willing to work on-site one day per week in Bethesda MD.
