About the Opportunity
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Monitoring and
Application Support Specialist to join our Enterprise Monitoring
team. The primary focus of this role is to monitor and support
applications hosted in the Azure Cloud environment. The ideal
candidate will have extensive experience with SCOM, Azure Monitor,
and other tools for synthetic monitoring and application
performance monitoring. Knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS,
ServiceNow event management, and the ability to integrate and
support SCOM and Azure Monitor alerts in event management is
essential. Experience with Splunk is highly desirable. Key
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support applications in
the Azure Cloud environment using SCOM, Azure Monitor, and other
relevant tools.
- Implement and manage synthetic monitoring and application
performance monitoring solutions.
- Utilize Azure IaaS and PaaS knowledge to troubleshoot and
resolve issues.
- Integrate SCOM and Azure Monitor alerts with ServiceNow event
management to ensure timely incident response.
- Create and maintain dashboards for monitoring and reporting
purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex
application and infrastructure issues.
- Provide technical support for cloud-based applications and
services.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to monitoring
processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for
critical issues.
- Continuously improve monitoring and support processes through
automation and optimization.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience with SCOM and Azure Monitor for application
and infrastructure monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS.
- Experience with ServiceNow event management and integration
with monitoring tools.
- Ability to create and manage dashboards for monitoring and
reporting.
- Knowledge of Splunk for log analysis and monitoring is highly
desirable.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools is a
plus.Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator,
Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience with other monitoring tools such as Dynatrace,
AppDynamics, or New Relic.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and methodologies.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
