The VP, Business Development CES Oncology is fully remote (or work from our luxury offices in Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston, NYC, Gladstone NJ if preferred).

    The VP Business Development Customer Engagement Solutions (CES) Oncology within Precision Xtract reports to the SVP of the CES Oncology. The VP is responsible for selling innovative and industry-leading resources that make the complex oncology market access environment more understandable and actionable.This position is a highly strategic role and requires a deep understanding of the Oncology Market Access Ecosystem and nuances between clinical and economic factors influencing product selection. The VP of CES Oncology BD is accountable for developing new revenue opportunities across life science companies, informing product development roadmaps, and tracking competitive innovation in the oncology market. In addition, the VP is accountable for (1) sales growth as measured by sales targets, (2) representing PX CES Oncology by speaking at conferences and trade shows, and (3) ownership of new clients from business prospecting and solution development through a signed SOW and successful transition to CES Oncology implementation teams.

    Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
    • Engage life science clients individually and in group presentations to create and cultivate new relationships in the marketplace leading to additional revenue opportunities
    • Create ongoing divisional and client-specific development strategies and plans to achieve annual business development and sales targets by client
    • Actively manage the client sales cycle including prospecting, stakeholder meetings, proposal development, proposal delivery, pipeline management, and client transition to implementation
    • Anticipate brand needs and prepare executive summaries and client presentations that cultivate opportunities and demonstrate the value of PX Oncology resources
    • Represent existing Oncology resources by presenting at conferences and trade shows and expertly managing subsequent relationships as part of the selling process
    • Understand key competitive landscape
    • Research Oncology based companies and build a robust pipeline of sales opportunities
    • Negotiate client deliverables and development/maintenance value-based pricing
    • Collaborate with Sr. Engagement Directors, VP of Product Development, and VP of Marketing to provide ongoing client feedback and recommendations
    • Oversee Inside Sales Person to Maintain and update client records in Salesforce.
    • Inspire and coach employees through engagements and performance management processes in the development of industry-leading resources and client management
    • Travel up to 50%
      Minimum Required

      Qualifications:
      • BS in business and/or science or similar,
      • 10 years of experience in Oncology Market Access or Oncology Brand Marketing positions or professional services firms selling Oncology products and/or consultancy to life science companies focused on Oncology Market Access
        Other Required
        • Understanding pharma business purchasing cycles and the drivers of buying behavior.
        • Comprehensive understanding of all parties in pharma commercialization and how they interact and make above-brand purchasing decisions
        • Deep understanding of Oncology Market Access Ecosystem
        • Understanding of emerging technologies in life science marketing like marketing automation platforms, multichannel and omnichannel marketing, and artificial intelligence
        • Demonstrated broad influence experience cross-functionally in organizations
          Preferred
          • MBA/MS in business and/or marketing or similar
          • Understanding of pharmaceutical data assets including payer source data like IQVIA, MMIT, DRG, and SHA
          • Experience managing and developing teams
