Overview

As part of a collaborative dynamic multi-disciplinary team, you will supervise case managers, participate in training, orientation, mentoring, and evaluation in conjunction with the Manager, MCM Specialty Services (MCMSS). In this role, you will support multiple population groups experiencing COVID, as exposure and illness. Our population groups are federal employees and individuals in university settings.

Responsibilities

Provide MCM intervention for cases requiring specialized knowledge and/or skill, which may include cases that are high profile, congressional, potential media events, highly litigated, fraudulent, and/or long-term disability.

Perform duties including direct MCM services and customer services for assigned services, to support specialty services teams, including times of staff transition and/or heavy volume of cases, as need determined by a joint decision of Manager of MCMSS and Director of MCM Specialty Services and CARE.

Provide guidance to medical case managers in the application of policies and procedures to daily operations.

Participate in annual Performance Evaluations for Medical Case Managers

Provide supplemental support and assistance to Case Managers during staff transition and/or spikes in assigned caseloads.

Support the development and enhancement of corporate policies and protocols that relate to case management services.

Conduct periodic reviews of designated cases for quality improvement, support implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement plans.

Provide Customer Support in designated areas and assist regional CM in the delivery of customer support.

Participate as a member of committees.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Nursing or Associate in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma

A minimum of 5 years of related experience. It is preferable that at least 2 years of experience are related to FECA or comparable field per program/contract

3-5 years related clinical experience 1 year in workers' compensation, utilization review, disability case management, occupational health, and/or comparable field

3-5 years program and staff management

Prior supervisory experience preferred

Effectively counsel and coach colleagues on performance and behavioral improvements.

Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the corporate mission

Strong ability to organize, coordinate, and direct projects

Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team

Unrestricted Current State Registered Nurse License

National certification in case management or related field or obtained within 12 months of the date of hire

United States Citizenship

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the public trust level
