Job Description Growing government contractor looking to hire a
Business Development Manager to their team. This is a high profile,
hands-on position which requires working with global teams.
Position location: Bethesda, Maryland. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Manage and implement business development and
sales strategy to meet sales goals in the US Anti-drone market and
EO/IR Sensors including integrated multi-sensors, electro - optics
& radar systems. Manage the development and implementation of a
tactical work plan that supports the successful fulfillment of the
strategy. On a regular basis, coordinate customer meetings,
presentations, and responses to RFI/RFP/and RFQs, and other
activities. Prepare for and participate in trade shows, attend
seminars and symposiums. Ensure that organized searches of websites
for new business, opportunities/solicitations related to the
relevant capability areas are conducted regularly. Prepare
competitive assessment, price to win, and key success factors for
bid/no bid meetings. Lead or support in the development and
production of proposals, including but not limited to: writing,
editing, data gathering, red team reviews, pricing, etc.
Citizenship: US Citizen capable of receiving and holding a security
clearance. Education: BS/BA Degree --- or equivalent experience.
MS/MBA desirable. Experience: Five (5) years of experience in at
least one of the following areas: defense program management,
defense business development; business development or sales.
Experience in requirements development or procurement within the
DHS and DoD markets. Former position at the US military, HLS, or
border control, in relation to the Anti-drone market. Ability to
build a strong new business sales pipeline and win profitable new
business Excellent at building relationships (internal and
external). Very resourceful with a strong commercial outlook and an
ability to translate customer requirements into commercial
opportunity. Comfortable having business lead conversations and
presentations with executives Excellent numeric and reporting
skills with strong attention to detail. Experience with US
Government and US Prime Contractor customers in the acquisition and
end-user and communities. Experience working is a fast-paced
environment, where prioritization was required to be effective.
Experience in working within a team and fostering teamwork and
trust. Related experience with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
including proposal preparation and contract negotiations, Powered
