They are responsible for the executive oversight of opening PLANTA bars, ensuring each business meets corporate growth objectives related to revenue, profitability, optimal guest satisfaction, and employee development and retention. They work with direct reports (Executive Leaders and Task Force team) to develop and implement departmental or concept-wide strategies that exceed the needs and expectations of the business, guests, and/or employees. This role will also be responsible for introducing PLANTA to new markets, driving the reputation and discovery of the brand. WHAT'S ON YOUR PLATE:

  • Champion the brand's vision and values and contribute to a culture of positivity and high standards where all employees CHASE perfection in everything they do
  • Create an environment that is warm, welcoming and filled with positivity for guests and employees
  • Uphold our standards at all times and treat everyone with courtesy and respect
  • Align bar programs company-wide for consistency and freshness of garnishes/product
  • Drive our drink time standard of 2 minutes and ensure efficiency of all bar operations
  • Support all New Store Openings with bar set up, training and implementation of bar systems
  • Hold Leaders accountable to daily reporting and costing schedules
    • Full executive accountability of bars' daily operations through Control Profit & Loss, budget attainment, by following cash control/security procedures, inventory, labor, reviewing financial reports
    • Coaches Leaders to take appropriate actions based on information, trends and themes seen in P&L, inventory, labor, reviewing financial reports, etc.
    • Responsible for critical path management of our bars
    • Providing Leadership mentorship to bar management at the restaurant level, holding all Leadership team members accountable to established PLANTA and statutory standards, including ensuring required staffing levels are maintained company wide
    • Coaching Leaders on bar team performance in accordance with established service standards, ensuring staff knows and adheres to established steps of service and service standards
    • Analyze, research and evaluate service issues, market trends and competitive offerings to provide market and data-driven insights to inform the company strategy and priorities
    • Work with Leaders on developing and executing operational strategies that are aligned with the brand's business strategy, ensures that the business strategy is known and adhered to
    • Set measurable, quarterly KPIs for direct reports to evolve and improve the business and holds managers accountable for successful performance and execution
    • Operational expenditures reviewed and audited on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Lead company-wide development initiatives for Leadership and emerging talent and foster a culture of continuous learning and on-going development
    • Employee engagement workshops with senior team or junior managers to develop our future Leaders
    • Enforce adherence to health and safety standards within all location, ensure compliance with restaurant security procedures, inclusive of alcohol regulations, ensure a safe working environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team and guests, maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems
    • Ensure all guest or employee relations inquiries and complaints are handled promptly by Leaders
    • Oversee and assist in the creation of innovative promotional activities and measure profitability
    • Ensure restaurant environment and atmosphere standards are upheld with routine maintenance and cleaning
    • Ensure Leaders use a Preventative Maintenance Plan based on Company Standards and that repairs, maintenance of equipment and services for the building are managed in a timely manner
    • Alignment and maintaining margins according to plan. Working with Leaders, pre-month end to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • With Leaders, build and establish ongoing relationships and rapport with PXs
    • Regular Labour / PMIX / COMPS / Stats Analysis to monitor performance against budget
    • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing programs
    • Create and maintain regular, ongoing communication standards in Operations (e.g., pre-shift briefings, staff meetings).
    • Develop annual business plans identifying key activities and priorities
    • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures
    • Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency
    • Provide floor coverage to Leadership
    • Ensuring evolution of the restaurantINGREDIENTS YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
      • 8+ years of previous Leadership experience in premium restaurants, in Canada or US
      • 3+ restaurant opening experience and multi-unit oversight
      • Extensive knowledge of liquor, wine, cocktails
      • Superior business acumen with demonstrated ability to analyze and impact business results at an organizational level
      • Significant understanding of Canadian and US hospitality landscape
      • Ability to lead and motivate others, and build a diverse and effective team
      • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
      • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
      • Experience with Microsoft Office is required
      • Must have valid work permit to work in Canada or US

      • Bachelor's Degree / Higher Education Qualification. Preference for candidates with a concentration in Hospitality
