Requisition Number: 2260Position SummaryPartners with the global QuartzBio leadership to provide strategic direction for HR priorities. Identifies HR priorities and implements solutions. Provide hands-on leadership and manage day-to-day programs and initiatives including employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, compensation, coaching & counseling, talent management, HR operations, annual compensation review, and reporting on HR business results. Liaise with the EU HR team and Talent Acquisition team, working collaboratively as part of a geo-dispersed global HR team.Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:(This is NOT meant to be an exhaustive task list)HR Programs & Administration:

  • Identify, recommend and implement an effective HR strategy aligned to business objectives and cultural norms
  • Identify solutions to support high growth and ensure organizational design is in alignment for the growth
  • Identification of trends and causes of turnover and proactive implementation of strategies to enhance retention
  • Integration of programs and practices across assigned groups to enhance consistency, effectiveness and champion best practices
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws, education and adherence to local regulations and policies
  • Ensure appropriate procedures are designed carried out for HR processes including new hires, onboarding, and terminations including the design of exit interviews, collate and submit feedback on a quarterly basis
  • Partner with legal counsel to ensure that employment practices and actions are compliant while meeting the needs of the business
  • Conduct job analysis, create job descriptions and harmonize existing descriptions across assigned groups
  • Work with the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition and members of the team on talent acquisition programs, process, reporting and analysis.
  • Partners with leadership, Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and recruiters to determine priorities, approval of headcount and facilitation of an effective process
  • Ensure that an effective new hire process is designed and executed with the goal for a high quality, scalable processEmployee Relations:
    • Provide oversight for the overall employee relations process including coaching the HR staff to manage general day-to-day queries from staff, carry out objective investigations, performance improvement, and advice and risk assessments
    • Lead sensitive employee relations issues and bring to a successful conclusion
    • Provide leadership for culture management for the business unit during the high growth and acquisition processes
    • Partner with the assigned leadership team with the localization of the culture project initiativesPerformance Management & Training:
      • Support the on-going performance management program(s)
      • Develop and implement harmonized career ladders across assigned groups
      • Identify training needs for business unit staff and individual executive coaching needs and partner with L&D to deliver solutions
      • Provide coaching, counseling, career development, organize & plan training as requiredOther:
        • Some travel to other offices and business meetings may be required
        • Additional duties as assignedQualifications
          • 10+ years' experience in Human ResourcesOther required:
            • Supported organizations experiencing YOY hyper-growth
            • HR systems experience (as a user)
            • Employee relations, coaching and counseling
            • Strong understanding of employment law
            • Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
            • Travel 15%Preferred:
              • Degree in Human Resources or related field of study
              • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
              • Experience supporting technology, SAAS or other high-tech industries desired
              • HR systems; ADP Workforce Now, ATS systems and other programs
              • Experience partnering with multiple business leaders and key stakeholders
              • Start-up or fast growing organization including building and supporting HR programs & policies
              • Employee relations and coaching to include both management and non-management levels
              • Demonstrated understanding of business and management principles involved in planning, staff resource allocation and human resources modeling
              • Successful record of building and nurturing a positive culture, aligning people processes with business goals and requirements
              • Understanding of project management principles and experience successfully executing complex projects
              • Comfortable working within and navigating a matrix structure
              • Experience working with a diverse and dispersed global organizationSkills:
                • Highly organized
                • Proactive, customer-focused approach to work, demonstrating responsiveness and flexibility and ensuring all queries are dealt with efficiently, tactfully and confidentially
