Job Description:
Salary Range: $30 - $40 per hourMaxim Healthcare Services is
currently seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care
services on the Outpatient Unit at a world renowned research
hospital in Bethesda, MD, just minutes outside of Washington
DC!This is an exciting opportunity to work with the largest

service for your countrySchedule: Full time, Monday-Friday
8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends, off all Federal holidays 52 week
contract commitment required (with possible option to
extend)Requirements: Active/Unrestricted RN license in any state 2
or more years of strong acute care experience in medical surgical
or procedures area Requires flexibility, excellent communication
skills and computer proficiency Demonstrates a high level of
resiliency in a fast passed environment Demonstrates excellent
critical thinking and collaboration with other healthcare providers
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS
Provider CPR certification (no other CPR certifications will be
accepted) Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process to assess,
plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Performs focused
interview to identify specific patient needs. Assess signs and
symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the
patients condition. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and
information from health care members and documents actual and/or
potential nursing diagnoses. Documents the patients plan of care
using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and
selected nursing interventions. Identifies and prioritizes actions
based upon patient care requirements. Monitors consistency between
patient plan of care and actions of medical staff. Performs
interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and
the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard. Provides a
safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment. Initiates
and evaluates patient and/or family education. Revises the plan of
care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and
effective/ineffective nursing interventions. Documents patients
response to nursing and other interventions. Uses clinical judgment
in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned
unit/floor including establishing priorities. Monitors the safety
and effectiveness of the environment and equipment. Participates in
activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the
chosen facility. Supports professional practice by observing the
following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) the
Nurse Practice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3) Standards
of Patient Care; 4) The Joint Commission, state and local laws; 5)
Patients Bill of Rights; and 6) Maxim Healthcare, nursing and
client hospital policies. Other duties as assigned.Competencies:
Working knowledge of medical terminology and patient care Strong
Organization and time management skills with the ability to
multi-task Detail-oriented with superior follow through sills
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel Excellent verbal &
written communication skills Strong computer skills; proficient in
Word, PowerPoint and Excel Strong data entry skills; must have
