Job Description:

This position supports our Equipment Leasing Division of Commercial Lending.The Portfolio Manager position is primarily responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management of commercial loan relationships to achieve efficiencies and quality of the portfolio, assist in the retention and expansion of existing client relationship, growth of total client assets and net growth in relationships. Primary performance responsibilities include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of both new loan and renewal/modification requests, including recommending structure.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluates pertinent information to determine risk and whether a prospect or existing credit demonstrates acceptable risk.Works with the relationship team and/or client and prospects directly to collect appropriate financial data and information relevant to underwriting.May prepare packages for approval on new and existing credits.Assists relationship managers with annual and semi-annual reviews, risk rating reviews/changes, criticized asset reports, and other reports.May make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's Loan Approval Process, recommends approval and appropriate structure of credits.Partners with the Relationship Manager as the point of a contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Administration Department, supports staff and other internal business partners.Assists in managing the renewal process by working with the Relationship Manager the client and the credit department.Ensures appropriate advance notice of upcoming renewals to clients and ensures that key financial information required is collected in a timely manner.Ability to follow up on loan files for specified documents and clear up any / all loan financial or documentation exceptions in partnership with the relationship team.Responsible for knowing the Credit Policy of the Bank and implementing this Policy when originating, structuring, and monitoring loans.Completes spreads, cash flow models, profitability models, and other short, quick turnaround assignments.Participate in client calls and follow up for financial information.Prepare underwriting narratives including, cover pages, spreadsheets, and other exhibits.Attend loan committee meetings, to support presented credits.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:Requires a bachelor's degree in business, Finance or a related field and 3 or more years of experience with commercial loans or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.Demonstrated experience with financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis and financial ratiosStrong knowledge of commercial lendingUnderstanding of federal banking regulations and commercial lending policies, procedures, practices, and techniquesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalGood organizational skills with strong attention to detailSolid interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain relationshipsStrong background analyzing and underwriting commercial leases and loans (non-real estate) for Individual Financial statement transactions up to $10MM.Small ticket 'app only' experience a plusProficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, TValue, NCino experience a plusProject manager- complete annual and semiannual loan reviewsPortfolio management- follow up and manage past dues with third party sourcesAbility to work with assigned relationship teams and their clients/prospects to understand specific client requirements/needs.Ability to prepare all required underwriting including relationship manager narrative, relationship summary, and cash flow modeling.Ability to assist in the structure of new loans and renewals.Ability to monitor industry trends and analyze specific industry trend data to identify potential areas of risk in the portfolio.Demonstrates the ability to maintain continuous, open and consistent communication both internally and with clients.Ability to use current software and information technology to accomplish tasks.Presidential Bank, FSB is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
