As a Physician Assistant / PA for Cardiothoracic Surgery you will be First Assist for all Open Heart, Thoracic, and Aortic cases within the CVOR, including but not limited to TAVR, Endovascular, Thoracic Aortic, CABG, AVR, NBR and Ascending Aortic cases. Also, responsible for assisting with Pre-Op and Post-Op care of patients within the ICU. As a PA in our Cardiothoracic Surgery Dept. and within our new, state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), consisting of a great clinical team, three surgeons, and two Open Heart suites, you'll be joining a team of dedicated professionals, passionate about making a difference in our cardiac patient's lives.

Shifts: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Day shifts 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; On-call

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year as First Assist in Open Heart cases; 2 years or more preferred
• Endovascular Vein Harvesting experience required
• Completion of a BS or MS PA training program accredited by the American Medical Association for Physician Assistants
• Current Maryland State License from the Board of Physician Assistants
• BLS/ACLS certification required: AHA accepted
