Virginia, 25401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in
Medical Surgical nursing. The position requires working three
12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Every other weekend and
holidays are required as needed. The unit typically handles a
variety of diagnoses, including altered mental status and cardiac
patients without active chest pain. Candidates should be
comfortable with patients requiring care for renal issues, cancer,
overflow CVA, TBI, appendicitis, and wound care. Nurse-to-patient
ratios are approximately 1:5-6 for both shifts. The registered
nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide
excellent patient care. Basic arrhythmia recognition and the
ability to manage IV medications such as Heparin or Protonix are
required. RN staff will float to other Medical Surgical areas as
necessary but will not float to Emergency or Behavioral Health.
Travelers will need to expect to work holidays based on unit needs.
All staff should adhere to the dress code, which includes navy blue
scrubs and the need to cover excessive or inappropriate tattoos.
This role does not require advanced certifications such as ACLS but
having them is preferred. We are looking for dedicated individuals
who can manage the demands of a fast-paced acute care environment.
