Group has partnered with a mission-driven mental health
organization, and together we are recruiting for a Development
Specialist. This role supports fundraising, grant development, and
program execution within a diversity and health equity division
focused on improving mental health outcomes for underserved and
diverse populations. The Development Specialist works closely with
leadership to drive revenue-generating opportunities, support key
initiatives, and strengthen partnerships across communities,
healthcare systems, and stakeholder groups. Responsibilities : Lead
fundraising development and event execution for the Equity in
Mental Health 5K Run & 1 Mile Fund Walk & Roll (MOORE Initiative).
Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue
goals (~$150,000) through peer-to-peer fundraising, sponsorships,
and donations. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at
various giving levels. Track fundraising performance and provide
regular progress reports. Manage event web content, marketing
materials, and official product development. Coordinate staff and
volunteers pre-, during, and post-event to ensure successful
execution. Plan and execute the Equity in Mental Health Roundtable
Conversation(s) and the Community Grants Program. Conduct needs
assessments to identify gaps within diversity and health equity
resources. Collect, analyze, and report data to support program
improvement and resource development. Monitor program expenditures
and support mid-year and year-end evaluations. Identify, evaluate,
and pursue grant and contract opportunities that align with
strategic priorities. Develop, manage, and track grant deliverables
to ensure sustainability and measurable outcomes. Explore
partnerships with medical organizations, community groups, and
other stakeholders to expand impact. Disseminate educational
resources and support related programming. Review and edit content
to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with equity goals.
Prepare presentations, issue briefs, position statements, and other
written materials. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on
post-production analytics for educational content. Perform
additional duties as assigned to support divisional objectives.
Qualifications/Background Profile : BA/BS and 3–5 years of relevant
experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. 3–5 years of experience developing or managing grant
opportunities in healthcare, mental health, or a related field.
Strong writing, content editing, and report development skills.
Experience coordinating large-scale programs, meetings, or events
(preferred). Experience marketing or promoting events, initiatives,
or services (preferred). Program management experience in an
academic, membership-based, or association environment (preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and
prioritization skills. Proficiency in MS Office and web-based
research. LI-AS1 This job is Hybrid Remote. Pay Range: Hourly
