Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant at Menocal Family Practice, located in Frederick, MD. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers with patient care, maintaining medical records, managing medical office tasks, and ensuring the efficient operation of the clinic. Day-to-day tasks include taking patient histories, updating medical records, preparing patients for examinations, assisting during procedures, and ensuring that examination rooms are sanitized and stocked appropriately. Qualifications Strong skills in Medical Assisting and knowledge of Medical Terminology Experience in managing Medical Office tasks and handling Medical Records Proficiency in providing high-quality Patient Care Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is preferred Knowledge of Athena EMR systems is a plus Bilingual candidate (English & Spanish speaker) ideal but not required High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or training in healthcare are beneficial
