Senior Software EngineerMy name is Bill Stevens and I have a new full time Senior Software Engineer opportunity available in Bethesda, Maryland that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The ideal Senior Software Engineer will be working with the firms Web Applications Team. He / she--will get to explore and work with cutting-edge technologies and a large and robust data set. If you like working on difficult problems, whether that's building systems that handle millions of customer requests per day or how to make sense of over a billion pieces of potentially correlated data, we would like to talk with you.Qualifications for this role: Seven plus years of software engineering experience B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience Knowledge of and experience using Angular 2 and up or React and Node.js.Knowledge of Java or similar programming languages would be a plus only and is NOT required HTML/CSS, JavaScript would be a plus only and is NOT required Experience with any of the following: J2EE, JMS, Hibernate, Spring would be a definite plus Familiarity with Hadoop, Solr/Lucene would be a definite plus Passionate about using technology to solve interesting challengesResponsibilities for this role: Build responsive Web UI tools that can handle millions of requests a day Work with cutting-edge technology such as Hibernate, Angular, Hadoop, Solr, JBoss, HBase and Mongo Solve interesting and challenging problems alongside a great team of engineers Write high-volume server applications (full stack) Develop new skills as you push your knowledge, and our technology, to new levels Work for a profitable, growing company that works with an impressive Fortune 500 client listUS citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply, sponsorship for this role is not available at this time.The interview process will include an initial telephone screening.
