Systems Administrator III Overview

Would you like to work as part of a collaborative dynamic multi-disciplinary project team of subject matter experts and clinical specialists on a wide range of problems? As a Systems Administrator III, you will collaborate with a team providing second and third-level support, field application, and hardware calls, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficiency of operations of the IT infrastructure, and supporting the workforce. You will assist in managing and administering the various cloud technologies. While maintaining a working knowledge of all hardware and software applications in order to resolve problems and issues that arise. This position logs all pertinent information from each call into a call-tracking application database and records follow-through to resolution. Please note, this is not a fully remote position, the candidate who fills this position will be hybrid/ partially onsite.


  • Install, administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and manage the setup, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of a variety of operating systems. Perform systems maintenance tasks, such as system backup, recovery, and file maintenance.
  • Schedule, install, and test system software upgrades. Additionally, configures software and resolves technical problems
  • Highly skilled and knowledgeable in AWS and AWS Services. Strong with Azure Services.
  • Well-informed about a variety of AWS Marketplace applications.
  • Familiar with configuring networking technologies (Firewall, VPC, VPN, LAN/WAN, etc.)
  • Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • A variety of skills are required. A strong grasp of the following skills is needed to perform this role: Backup/Recovery, Email Administration, Licensing Management, Problem Analysis, Remote Administration, System Administration, System and Console Operations, System Monitoring, System Testing, Systems Troubleshooting, Upgrades Management, VPN Administration. You would need to be proficient in the following: IT Backup Software, IT Network Software, Network Security Software, and Operating System.
  • Resolve problems related to system or application issues, including:
  • o PCs hardware and software
  • o VOIP phones
  • o All hardware including printers, scanners, and fax machines
  • o Networking configuration
  • o Any other future SGS/MCA technologies
  • Remote accessQualifications
    • Information Systems or related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of proven prior working experience in a related field.
    • Experience with providing remote technical support to non-technical users
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, and/or 2019, Linux knowledge preferred
    • Minimum 3+ years with Cloud Hosted Technologies (AWS, Azure, etc)
    • Attention to Detail
    • Strong technical research skills
    • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal)
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including preliminary credit and background check
