Job Description:

The VP, Investor Relations, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, will develop and lead communication related to the company’s strategies, initiatives and performance, and serve as the primary point of contact with investors and analysts, ensuring Enviva presents consistent and clear messaging to key stakeholders. The VP, Investor Relations, will develop and execute an investor relations strategy that enhances Enviva’s reputation and supports value creation. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record at building relationships within an organization and with the investment community that are based on trust, transparency, integrity and credibility. They will also have a record of building and executing insightful strategies to the investment community.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of current and emerging investor relations trends, including trends within the energy, manufacturing, and Master Limited Partnership space as well as Enviva’s peer group; assess the impact of these trends on the company; and collaborate with executive and senior management to incorporate into current and future strategies. Provide highly specialized expertise and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders, including the investing public, shareholders and financial professionals, to enhance Enviva’s reputation and support value creation.

Develop and execute an Investor Relations strategy that includes: (1) Clear communication of Enviva’s corporate strategies through quarterly and annual earnings announcements, investor presentations, meetings, and other vehicles; (2) Proactive identification of and outreach to the investment community to broaden and encourage awareness of the Company; and (3) Collection and analysis of financial models developed by the investment community and comparison with internal projections in collaboration with the internal finance function.

Establish and maintain processes to monitor and measure the effectiveness of the Company's investor relations efforts, including trading, trends related to equity and debt ownership, and industry and peer company research, and share findings on a routine basis with executive and senior management. Keep the financial community current on company performance, growth strategies, and industry issues.

Develop effective communications and presentations for board and investor audiences, including quarterly earnings releases, conference calls, and investor meeting material, and ensure information is disseminated promptly, efficiently, and in accordance with all regulations. The quarterly earnings process will include creating communication materials, drafting earnings releases, call scripts, accompanying presentations, analyst/investor profiles, as well as preparing talking points and relevant Q&A and post meeting feedback.

The investor audiences would include equity investors, bond investors, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15+ years of corporate level experience with investor engagement, investor relations, private-equity, investment banking.

Thorough understanding of quantitative and qualitative financial modeling.

Experience with GAAP public company financial statements.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with specific experience interacting with board of directors, investors, analysts, rating agencies, policy makers, bankers.

Strong professional presence.

Experience working with C-Suite executives.

Experience with written financial communications.

Ability to travel 25-30%.
