Title- Project Director (Health Communications)

learning—one that has won many task orders under the
multi-billion-dollar, Best-in-Class Human Capital Training
Solutions (HCaTS) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC),
overseen by the Office of Personnel Management and General Services
Administration (OPM/GSA). Due to recent awards, APV has an
immediate opening for the below position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that clients are receiving the highest level of service,
value, and creative thinking.
Oversee a team in the strategic and creative development of
highly integrated, research-based Federal campaigns from inception
Monitor contract budget requirements and management.
Provide leadership and team management across all campaign
elements: Website Hosting, Development, and Maintenance, Database
Development and Management, Information and Referral,
Content/Product Development and Graphic Design Services, Staff
Training and Quality Control, Distribution, Inventory, and Storage,
Exhibit Program and Meeting Support, Outreach, Marketing, and
Promotion, Evaluation – Evaluative and Formative Research
Activities and Contract Transition.
Serve as a senior advisor to clients, guiding strategic
discussions and problem solving.
Guide teams in creating innovative and impactful communications
Work collaboratively across other groups within APV Next to
leverage capabilities, talent, and knowledge.
Ensure the successful execution of approved programs and
subsequent measurement of all programs.
Proven experience managing government health communications
10+ years of experience managing integrated health campaigns for
the Federal government in a consulting firm or communication,
public relations or advertising agency.
Demonstrated experience in strategic communications and media
outreach related to public health programs and issues.
Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills, and ability to
interface effectively with all levels of the company and
Strong communications implementation skills, detail, and
Strong project management, negotiation, strategic thinking, and
Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to
clients’ communications challenges/problems.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations,
Master’s degree or PhD highly preferred.
