Vice President Diversity & Inclusion Jobs in Bethesda, MD. The Vice President of Walker& Dunlop’s Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for designing and implementing a D&I strategy that aligns with the Walker Way, existing corporate ESG programming, and long-term strategic plans including our 2025 Vision.. The right candidate must be not only passionate about social impact and Diversity& Inclusion, but also be able to persuade; educate where needed; collaborate with leaders throughout the organization; have superior execution and business acumen; and be driven by data and analytics to measure success. The position will help to develop a best in class Diversity& Inclusion platform that will further differentiate Walker& Dunlop as a great place to work for all.. What you will be doing:. •Team with members of Senior Management to assure fluid communications, goal alignment and measurement, and program development and execution for Walker& Dunlop’s Diversity& Inclusion.. o Assure that senior management and the Board of Directors understand and are aligned with the program’s strategy, goals, action plan and progress. o Educate leaders and employees on the importance of the W&D’s D&I programs and the resources available to ensure an inclusive culture. o Promote a cohesive and inclusive overarching culture while maintaining a sense of individual identity across offices, departments, and demographics. o Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, and identify areas for improvement throughout W&D. o Partner with Marketing and Investor Relations to communicate and promote W&D’s program. •Integrate Diversity& Inclusion efforts with Human Resources strategies, practices, and processes at every stage of the employee lifecycle (e.g., engagement, retention, learning and development). Develop, implement, and manage a strategic plan that will create awareness and promote commitment to diversity, inclusion, belonging and innovation with an emphasis on recruitment, training, and retention of talent.. o Partner with HR and business unit leadership to develop and manage D&I Goals for employees that foster a culture of inclusion and drive engagement. o Be a resource for industry best practices and changes to the legal and regulatory environment around D&I; work with the HR team to assess implications and revise strategic plans, as necessary. o Implement D&I best practices at Walker and Dunlop. •Serve as the Program Manager for Walker and Dunlop’s Council of Diversity and Inclusion to shape and deliver a D&I strategic plan with a focus on achieving measurable, sustainable results.. o Support and scale W&D’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) - Collaborate with ERG leaders to create measurable performance goals for the ERGs that help retain and promote diverse talent and be a liaison between ERGs and Human Resources.. o Bolster existing external partnerships and establish new strategic partnerships to expand W&D’s impact. o Design and implement change initiatives that foster a culture of inclusion and drive engagement. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.. The education and experience we are looking for:. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 10 + years of relevant experience in Human Resources, diversity, leadership development, and/or organizational development. Diversity and Inclusion certification preferred. Demonstrated deep commitment to and expert knowledge of Diversity& Inclusion. Understanding of global ESG trends and practices. Project management experience with ability to implement corporate change strategies in partnership with senior leadership and across functions. Initiate and implement highly ambitious goals.. Demonstrated ability to develop buy-in with business stakeholders. Knowledge,Skills& Abilities:. Self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize a busy workload efficiently, while remaining professional in high stress situations. Advanced negotiation skills, including the ability to build relationships and develop consensus across various constituents (internal and external). Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills, including a high level of proficiency in Excel. Ability to navigate a complex organization while maintaining cultural awareness and flexibility. A personable and professional approach, while exercising discretion and maintaining the utmost in confidentiality. A high level of maturity to effectively work with individuals at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Ability to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong leadership and individual contribution. Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes.
