HJF Team!. HJF is seeking a Communication Coordinator to support
the Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) and Emerging Infectious
Diseases Branch (EIDB) in Bethesda, MD. HJF provides scientific,
technical and programmatic support services to MHRP.. The incumbent
will be responsible for helping to develop and execute external and
internal communication plans, activities and marketing
communications materials.. Responsibilities:. Coordinate the
publications approval process; ensure affiliations are correct and
relevant disclaimers are included. Track publications date for
accepted and high-profile papers.. Maintain lists of publication
citations for internal reporting and public website, and compile
schedules of conference participation through publication tracking
process. Help develop and ensure the use of graphic templates and
promote communication consistency in the US and at international
sites. Assist with reviewing presentations and posters, and other
materials for meetings. Enhance internal communications by
assisting with writing/adding content to our intranet, and update
content as needed, noting conference dates and deadlines.
Coordinate monthly orientations.. Assist in organizing marketing
and branding materials to maintain digital library, ensuring
version control and archiving as materials are updated.. Support
social media accounts; initiate and maintain Instagram. Generate
metrics to track reach.. Assist with Army reporting requirements
and presentations, to include briefings, Executive Summaries,
information papers, and other data call action items.. Assist as
needed with external communications including web communications,
original articles, press releases, newsletters and annual reports,
scientific presentations and other related education and public
promotion material in collaboration with team.. May perform other
duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the
supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in
required training for role.. Required Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities:. Experience with social media.. Proven ability to work
within a team environment and interact well at all levels of an
organization.. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple
program priorities.. Requires strong creative, analytical and
problem-solving skills with attention to details.. Ideally, a
background or strong interest in public health.. Knowledge and
proficiency of Microsoft applications, specifically PowerPoint and
Word are essential.. Proven experience in web-based communications
and writing for the web.. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree is
required in communication.. Minimum Experience/ Training
Requirements: 0 – 2 years of relevant experience is required..
Background/Security:Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tier I
investigation/Public Trust and a Common Access Card (CAC)..
