currently seeking a Scientist with Clinical Genetics Research
experience to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in

TASKS: The contractor shall:
Analyze and interpret genetic variants, assess their clinical
relevance, help establish phenotype-genotype links, review a large
spectrum of genetic immune disorders and related phenotypes,
generate or review clinical test reports and communicate with
referring research teams.
Contribute to ongoing development and implementation of
processes to protect sample and data integrity, processes for
monitoring and managing analysis and interpretation work, and
optimal reporting and data sharing plans.
Participate in ongoing clinical quality control, making
suggestions for how to best integrate and execute genetic services
Establish productive consultations and collaborations with
Oversee working group on challenging cases.
Train new personnel, help streamline tasks and distribution of
responsibilities among team members.
Coordinate with the protocol team and assure that all procedures
are being carried out per protocol.
Contribute to the design, methodology, implementation, and
regulatory review of protocols as assigned.
Exercise advanced judgment as it pertains to sensitive genetic
testing considerations, as well as strategic planning, time
management and communication.
Present formal presentations on this initiative and related
projects at internal NIAID conferences and/or at
national/international scholarly meetings.
Serve as a liaison with genetics societies, other institutions,
and other non-governmental agencies interested in immune diseases
and/or genetics, as requested by the task leader.
Contribute to evaluation of the potential impact of legislation,
papers, reports, and other emerging issues on current and planned
genetic activities and recommends appropriate action.
REQUIREMENTS: The contractor must have:
M.D. or Ph.D. degree in related field.
Certified or eligible for certification by ABMG in Clinical
Must be able to be credentialed by the NIH Clinical Center.
Knowledge pertaining to privacy of the patient, privileged
information and secure handling of the patient’s medical records.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal
