Corporate Recruiter ID 2020-3957 Location US-MD-Bethesda Type Full-time Overview The Corporate Recruiter will serve as a business partner with JBG SMITH leaders and lead full life cycle recruitment for entry to mid-level roles across all Corporate departments. This individual will be responsible for developing multiple sourcing channels to attract the best active and passive candidates while leveraging technology to ensure an effective and efficient process that produces results. This person will be responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with both hiring managers and candidates to ensure that JBG SMITH is hiring the highest caliber of talent within the market.

The successful candidate must be able to successfully manage, prioritize and close searches against a timeline and have experience setting benchmarks, metrics, and understand how to prioritize to hit all customer needs. Responsibilities Build strong relationships with business leaders, understand their hiring needs, establish trust and credibility while delivering results.

Recruit, screen/assess and interview candidates. Maintain ownership of the entire hiring process, including interview coordination, acquiring candidate & interview team feedback, generating offer letter packages and requisition maintenance.

Build a sourcing pipeline for key positions and develop passive candidates through networking, social media, research, etc.

Extend offers of employment to selected candidates including: articulating compensation package, negotiation, closing, and associated administrative components.

Present company and position JBG SMITH’s value proposition and story in a compelling manner.

Collaborate with internal HR team to ensure appropriate onboarding of new hires.

Develop external sourcing strategy for supported departments. This includes (but is not limited to) coordination / attending job fairs, university recruiting, social media presence, engagement with online platforms, etc.

Lead partnership and recruiting efforts with external headhunter firms/agencies; negotiate service agreements when needed. Maintain the integrity of ATS to ensure it is up to date at all times (this includes updating candidate information, providing notes and feedback in the system on interviews, and sending regret letters as part of the hiring process)

Maintain and regularly report on recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, cost per hire, etc.) to ensure needs of the business are being met.

Actively support the summer internship program. This will include gathering position request data from department heads, submitting for budget approval, and full-cycle recruitment. In addition, this individual is responsible for crafting the employment experience for the interns to ensure they not only get excellent functional experience, but also have an opportunity to understand the culture and experiences that makes JBG SMITH a great place to work.

Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory and legal requirements (EEO, AA, and state specific).

Planning/organizing —the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Thoroughness and Follow-up —Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Adaptability —the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Technology-savvy - Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Office).

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required

3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment required; internal recruiting experience within a company preferred; search firm/agency recruitment experience a plus

Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is required; JBG SMITH currently utilizes iCIMS for this platform

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) required

Proven ability to meet hiring deadlines and fill a high volume of roles
