Job Description:

NWMI is seeking a Head of Programs to oversee program management and volunteer engagement and to provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Events Leads. The ideal candidate will have a passion for realizing NWMI's vision and upholding NWMI's values through program development and volunteer interactions. S/he will possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy community outreach and engagement. S/he must have a commitment to promoting diversity and have a passion for helping others. ResponsibilitieS Oversee the planning and implementation of NWMI programs, ensuring organizational and programmatic consistency and adherence to current COVID-19 related guidelines as they relate to state and federal requirements; Attend team meetings, NWMI programs, and relevant board meetings; Manage Event Leads, Logistics Coordinator, Eid Coordinator, Event Host, and Office Manager; Coordinate and oversee timely outreach initiatives using social media, web, email and a variety of other methods; Oversee data collection, database management, and reporting; Prepare and update interim reports and strategic plans; Establish programmatic benchmarks, timelines, and resources in collaboration with the Executive Director; Provide technical assistance and logistical support to volunteers and Event Leads; Promote a team approach and a positive work environment for volunteers and staff;-- Other responsibilities as assigned; and-- Actively engage community members to match their interests with NWMI volunteer opportunities and recruit youth volunteers (promote SSL hour opportunities). Qualifications Embodies NWMI's mission and vision; Minimum requirements include an undergraduate degree and at least 2 years of professional experience relevant to this position;-- Thorough understanding of project management and project design;-- A successful track record of setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient organization; Experience in professional volunteer management, public relations, special events, and networking; Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, Google Docs, and Internet); Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Strong interpersonal skills; Demonstrated relationship-building skills; Able to work independently, results-oriented, and strongly self-motivated; Able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals; and A consummate team player with a flexible and creative approach.
