  • Provide comprehensive bio-informatics and biostatistical support.
  • Work with post-baccalaureate students, post-doctoral research fellows and staff scientists to advise on and support for their data analyses, generate visualizations of results and play an active role in drafting manuscripts for publication as a co-author.
  • Take a lead role on projects with the goal of writing high-impact manuscripts for publication as a first-author.
  • Draft manuscripts for publication as a co-author.--REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:--
    • Ph.D. degree in related field.-- Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master's degree is equivalent to a Ph.D. degree--
    • Minimum three (3) years of post-doctoral (post PhD) research experience in the broadly defined areas of bioinformatics/computational biology/biostatistics.:--
    • Evidence of proficiency in programming skills in R, Python, MATLAB and/or ----------------------comparable languages is required.
    • Expertise in bio-informatics/biostatistical approaches to analyses of OMICs datasets including proteomics, transcriptomics and/or metabolomics as demonstrated by ------peer-reviewed publications is required.
    • Proficiency in specific analytical methods: differential gene expression analysis, Weighted Gene Co-expressions Network Analysis (WGCNA), Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA), Hierarchical clustering, gene functional annotation, hypergeometric testing for overlapping sets, processing/analysis of microarray and single cell transcriptomic data is required.
    • Proficiency in statistical genetics including analysis of GWAS data, polygenic risk scores and Mendelian Randomization is preferred.
    • Expertise/ proficiency in biological pathway analysis tools such as Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, KEGG, REACTOME, STRING is preferred.
    • Proficiency in machine learning approaches to large datasets is preferred.
    • Experience in working with large publicly available OMICs datasets is required.
