CBRE is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel - Transaction
Management to join a highly acclaimed, nationally recognized tenant

liaison for one-off transactions and portfolio clients. It will
provide ongoing execution and oversight of real estate transaction
documentation activities including reviewing, modifying, and

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drafts and creates a large variety of analysis and relevant
documents including, but not limited to: leases, amendments and
subleases using client standard forms.
- Drafts LOI checklists, indemnity letters, surrender letters,
termination agreements, broker engagement letters, MSA contracts
and amendments, lease abstracts and lease checklists, purchase and
sale agreements using client forms, renewal and termination option
notices, bill of sale, commission agreements, guarantees, landlord
default letters, license agreements, confidentiality agreements,
- Reviews leases, amendments and other transaction documents and
prepares red-lined comments for review with Transaction Managers
- Creates sample RFPs and letters of intent for client
- Negotiates leases and lease amendments, termination buyout and
other transaction documents in conjunction with Transaction
Managers and client within prescribed timelines.
- Submits lease forms and documents to client for approval,
following through until executed.
- Reviews existing client leases and prepares recommendations for
improvement and/or non-conformance with client standards.
- Shares knowledge of leases and other documentation with team
members in an effort to refine understanding.
- Creates case studies to demonstrate savings and value
- Develops strong working relationships with clients' in-house
counsel with particular focus on portfolio clients.
- Interacts with CBRE in-house counsel on commission agreements,
dual agency and other topics as they arise.
- Monitors and maintains a real estate project tracking system to
ensure timely transaction completion. Prepares reports and makes
presentations to relevant parties.
- Adheres to all state real estate agency requirements. Ensures
compliance with CBRE's corporate policies as they relate to
identifying and mitigating potential conflicts of interest.

- No formal supervisory experience in this role. May provide
informal guidance to and direction to team members.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, JD preferred.
5+ years applicable industry tenure or similar combination of
education and experience
- 5 years of real estate transaction experience to include a
strong understanding of lease documents and a Juris Doctorate
Degree highly preferred.

Certificates and/or Licenses
Real Estate Salesperson license.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex
business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most
sensitive issues. Ability to write reports using distinctive style.
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex
topics to employees, clients, top management, and/or public groups.
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees,
top management, and client groups to take the desired action.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of
options in complex situations. Requires expert-level analytical and
quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic
solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes
recommendations that have a direct impact on the client.
Other Skills and Abilities
Advanced computer software application (Microsoft Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and Internet navigational skills. Strong
interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously.
