Job Description:

Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) seeks an Associate Director, Office of the CEO to join the team directly supporting MLT's Founder and CEO, and add significant leverage to the efforts of the CEO and the senior leadership team. The position represents an excellent way to hone strategic thinking, product development, project management, and storytelling skills; gain exposure to the key opportunities and challenges inherent in building and scaling an organization; and build strong relationships within the corporate and social sectors. While the Office of the CEO is a dynamic and fast-moving professional environment where each day brings new opportunities and priorities to address, the Associate Director has three broad accountabilities: Audience-centered Communications, with the acute ability to identify critical information in introductory, business development, fundraising, and similar meetings; capture and distill that information into the most critical points; and create slides, presentation decks, emails, thought leadership pieces, speeches, and similar channels that best tell MLT's compelling story Project Management of a wide range of near- and long-term strategic efforts as well as more immediate ad hoc responses to outreach from executives, partners, donors, media, or other stakeholders. Create advance briefing documents for the CEO to prepare him for meetings, calls, and presentations; craft, implement, and own project plans that capture key milestones and accountabilities, and ensure that those milestone are met Team and organization support, with the ability to pivot on short notice to address the breadth of demands facing the Office of the CEO, from incubating new organizational programs and services, to preparing Board meeting slides, and the myriad other activities that regularly occur in that dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be an exceptionally organized and strong communicator who is passionate about developing diverse talent, has experience with and insight into the communities of those we serve, and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The team is willing to consider a 20+ hour per week engagement that builds to a full-time employment or consulting. While all MLT staff are currently working remotely the position is based in Bethesda, MD, and we expect the candidate to work in this office when safe health conditions allow. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 4 - 8 years of relevant client-centered professional experience, ideally in a consultative role that includes project and stakeholder management. MBA is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to craft a story and proposals/recommendations, always focused on the alignment of the unique needs of each client and MLT Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience related to strategic communications, proposal development, and presentation delivery highly desired Superb attention to detail and ability to track, execute, and manage multiple work streams at once through the use of Google suite tools A high degree of comfort with change and ambiguity Ability to work cross-functionally and quickly earn trust and credibility with partners, staff, and senior leaders Proven ability to have direct and time-sensitive conversations with leaders and staff at all levels of the organization
