Our Telecommunications engineering team helps the DoD implement spectrum (Radio Frequency) management on both national and international stages. We also have a cleared engineering team that helps the Department of Homeland Security protect our national security interests.Summary:This position is responsible for providing radar, cellular wireless and other communication link budget, frequency interfering sharing studies and systems engineering initiatives in support of Department of Defense customers. Candidate must have excellent knowledge and experiences on radar, International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) 4G/5G network optimization and operation, Radio frequency (RF) modeling and simulation skills, verbal and writing skills. Candidate is capable to conduct RF sharing studies and present/defend the technical results and assumptions and methods in a clear and concise manner. Candidate has knowledge and experience in testing and measurement of RF systems in the fields.Responsibilities:Lead and demonstrate knowledge of IMT 4G/5G and radar/other RF communications behaviors and impactsApply electromagnetic/radar/IMT and general telecommunication theories to review and critique electromagnetic studiesLead electromagnetic compatibility studies to identify the impact of new telecommunication systems to the existing telecommunication systems by modeling the 4G/5G network behaviors and existing EME (radar and communication systems operating on land, sea and air). This requires an understanding and application radar and cellular systems, electromagnetic engineering courses, probability and communication courses, Digital Signal Processing, Antenna courses, satellite link budgets/operations and some programming language skills (mathlab, C/C++, VBA, Excel). Studies will be conducted using either existing in-house tools, Visualyze, Satellite Tool Kit (STK), ATOL, and/or minor software application including EXCEL, VBA and/or Matlab/Python.Document the studies, approaches and lead presenting/defending the studies to customers nationally and/or internationally.Write test procedures; conduct testing and measurement of RF systems; document results of testing and measurement.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering;Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret ClearanceCitizenship: US Citizen.Years of experience in of the following areas:Modeling & Simulation: deep knowledge of radar and its operations; ability to model radar causing or receiving interference from broadband wireless (cellular systems); basic telecommunication course/lab, probability class, electromagnetic class, satellite/aeronautical/land mobile communications analysis (coverage analysis, link analysis, signal acquisition analysis,); interference analysis (radio frequency analysis and simulation, co-channel and adjacent channel); Radio frequency Communication Link analysis (modulation performance, coding performance, bit-error-rate estimates, aggregate signal to noise-analysis); Antenna Analysis (pattern generation, footprint calculation); modeling simulation program languages (math lab/vba/excel/C/C++)Benefits:We offer a highly competitive salary, full healthcare and disability benefits, performance bonus, and 3 weeks of paid time off in addition to 10 Federal holidays.Equal Employment Opportunity:eSimplicity is an equal opportunity employer.
