About the Role

We are looking for an Analyst, Sales & Margin Analytics to join our growing Merchandise Finance team and work at our Bethesda, Maryland headquarters and this is not a remote work opportunity. You will forecast, analyze and report on our top-line and margin results. You will provide decision support to Finance, Marketing and Merchandising management. Internally, your title will be Sr. Analyst, Sales & Margin. You will report to the Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.

You will

• Use multiple software packages (e.g., SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI) to assemble data and create accurate reports and presentations
• Analyze performance, trends and results of KPIs to support driving company sales and gross margin
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models that support both the annual planning and recurring forecast process
• Support the weekly and annual sales planning process for all stores
• Support merchandising by analyzing category sales and gross margins
• Support marketing by analyzing promotional activity and help refine our promotional programs
• Help develop financial models and databases
• Partner with Merchandising and Marketing VPs to understand business trends and discuss upcoming sales and margin driving activities
• Participate in weekly sales review meeting to review sales and margin variance to budget and discuss cause and action plans
• Perform financial analysis of departments and projects

You will come with

• 3+ years of experience as financial or data analyst or consultant
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field with high GPA
• Advanced MS Excel (can perform complex functions) Skills
• Data and financial analysis skills
• Experience in multi-unit retail/consumer products industry
• Experience with SQL, Power BI or Access
