Communications Specialist

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist for an exciting opportunity within our Intel Community.
As a Communications Specialist you will guide clear and concise written content for our customers. Your entrepreneurial spirit will thrive in this position and your love for telling great stories and appreciation of the finer points of grammar will help you stand apart from other candidates. Your ability to build strong relationships and commitment to customer service will help you succeed. On a day-to-day basis, as a member of our Communications team, you will help ensure we share engaging and timely content while serving as a subject matter expert on communications best practices.
Responsibilities
Contribute concise and well-written content. Creative briefs and more. Serve as a subject matter expert to offer insights and best practices for inter-agency and inter-departmental work. . Manage and maintain the annual budget tracking for all communications related work. Leverage our global branding team for graphics/asset creation as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Various levels are outlined below.
Senior:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related/equivalent degree
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with the a federal department, agency or private sector developing and implementing strategic communication documents such as talking points, briefings, statements for the record , informational communications, issue/white papers, etc.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and contributes to collaborative efforts.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and results-oriented.
• Applicants must be able to work well in a professional environment, while also demonstrating the ability to work well independently.
• Commitment to personal development / skill building.
• Editing experience and experience using performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with CI or Full Scope Polygraph

Mid-Level:
• Minimum of five (5) years developing and implementing strategic communication plans for the federal department, agency or private sector
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in communications with a federal department, agency or in the private sector.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and contributes to collaborative efforts.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and results-oriented.
• Applicants must be able to work well in a professional environment, while also demonstrating the ability to work well independently.
• Commitment to personal development / skill building.
• Editing experience and experience using performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with CI or Full Scope Polygraph
