Job Description:
The Position:Our popular Multi-Sport camp focuses on exposing
young athletes to a variety of sports and activities while bringing
out each athlete's personal best. The camp activities rotate weekly
and Multi-Sport Counselors work closely as a team to build
connections with their groups.Camper ages: 6-12 years oldActivities
include: field & court sports including basketball, soccer, floor
hockey, flag football; PE-style games consisting of hungry hippos
and capture the flag; mental agility and mindset; tournament
competitions; team spirit activitiesSupervisor: Multi-Sport Program
LeaderSchedule: 7:45 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - FridayAdditional
opportunities: Morning Extended Day (7:15 am arrival); Afternoon
Extended Day (3:30-6:00 pm daily)What You'll Do:Nuts & Bolts: Bring
Camp to Life* Coach a team of 8-10 campers, often linking up with a
co-counselor and their team* Implement a planned schedule, teach
pre-written curriculum, and engage campers at all times* Implement
Headfirst's safety protocols on supervision, bathrooms, emergency
medications, and camper behavior management* Lead team meetings,
sports and physical individual and team challenge activities,
lunch, snack, transitions, and bathroom and sunscreen breaks*
Support during swim, morning and afternoon carpool, and morning and
afternoon program meetingsNurture Physical, Social & Emotional
Safety* Work directly with campers to support them in their
emotional, physical, and social development through hands-on,
team-based experiences and developmentally appropriate activities*
Form close connections to campers and seek support when campers
need help from others at campRepresent Headfirst for Families &
Facility Partners* Represent the Headfirst brand daily to families
at carpool and school facility partners and guests throughout the
summer by being enthusiastic, hands-on, helpful, and in uniform*
Actively participate in our efforts to take care of our camp
facility and communityBe an Active Member of the Camp Team* Arrive
on time, communicate schedule changes promptly, be a loyal and
consistent team member who shows up for the campers and your team*
Enthusiastically participate in camp programs and take an active
role in building the team around you* Collaborate with and build up
fellow counselors, knowing your actions can directly impact
everyone around you* Be flexible with your assignment and open to
supporting other programs on siteStart Each Day with an Open Mind*
Attend and participate in daily staff meetings and weekly in-season
trainings* Bring your strengths with you and acknowledge there's
room for growth and learningHandle the Curveballs* Be prepared to
problem-solve and use your institutional and experiential knowledge
to make educated, informed decisions when challenges arise*

through problem solving and trying new thingsAbout You:Education:*
High School Graduate, OR 18 years old and older, OR equivalent
