technical development capabilities and strong visual design skills,
the Instructional Technologist will work with Instructional
Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Illustrators, and other
Multimedia Developers to create and maintain SANS Security
Awareness training and support materials. Key Responsibilities Use
scripted content to develop high-quality online training and
support materials, requiring expertise in graphic and interface
design, storyboarding, animation, video integration, and
interactive game and quiz development Develop training products
that function in multiple environments and are flexible and easy to
update Demonstrate experience with eLearning authoring software and
basic programming skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Possess an excellent work ethic, consisting of clear and concise
communication and presentation skills, ability to listen and follow
direction, and being self-motivated and reliable Remain up-to-date
in current best practices and trends in eLearning, training,
technology applications, and other related areas of design and
development Create and update training tools and documentation to
support the development of related content-line products Ensure
compliance with company mission, brand, and quality guidelines
Basic Qualifications Bachelor---s degree or comparable work
experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated
experience in developing eLearning or other training software
packages for Learning Management Systems. Possess expertise with
eLearning authoring software such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate
Storyline Experience using graphics, video, and animation software,
such as Adobe Creative Cloud applications Must be able to follow
established design guidelines and produce consistent work Must be
able to share and collaborate with a diverse team of individuals
Must be able to provide and receive constructive criticism
professionally Experience using Slack, and Dropbox Strong
understanding of adult learning principles Proven ability to build,
manage, and improve learning programs and projects via ADDIE / SAM
design methodologies Possess experience creating online training
using eLearning authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate and
Articulate Storyline Aptitude for continuous learning and new skill
development Reporting Relationships This position will report to
the Manager of Instructional Technology. This position will not
have any direct reports. Work Environment Remote work environment.
