TIAG is now hiring an IT Specialist - Network Specialist to support our team at the Uniform Services University of Health Sciences based out of Bethesda, MDThis position requires a Secret level security clearance to be processed to start work, so US Citizenship is a requirementThis position can be hybrid based out of the greater DC areaPrimary Responsibilities:--- Provide Service Ticket support (phone calls, email, trouble tickets, and desktop support) for the customer VOIP phones.--- Creates new hire phone and voicemail extensions; routes extensions to appropriate locations and updates information as necessary.--- Complete the programming of the IP telephones (Cisco IP-based) and ensure connectivity to the LAN network.--- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, and determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.--- Schedules and coordinates customer desk-side support for the installation of new phones or to coordinate for issue resolution.--- Conduct technical training with customers, staff, and other end users.--- Maintain solutions for both secure and non-secure data communications systems which may include network management equipment, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) equipment, Internet Protocol (IP) equipment, channel banks, high to low level multiplex equipment, switching systems, Channel Service Units (CSU), Digital Service Units (DSU), wireless access points, encryption tools and interfaces, signal conversion, and interface equipment.--- This also includes all systems residing on the customer premise, beyond the carrier demarcation point.--- This may include, planning Data networks, designing infrastructure, as well as engineering, installing, testing, and maintaining network wired and wireless infrastructures.--- Provide technical expertise in all matters of installation, implementation, and maintenance for the network infrastructure.--- Develop documentation and diagrams that support network engineering, transition, and operations.--- Apply network engineering principles, methods, and tools for integrating components (for example, network equipment, protocols, telephony) to meet the mission requirements.--- Gather network information requirements using analysis of the Network engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure (CAN, MAN, WAN).--- Perform general voice and data network administration, and provide technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks.--- Schedule network conversions and cutovers and perform maintenance of network systems.--- Deploy, configure, improve, and support scalable production and corporate network infrastructure following enterprise best practicesRequirements:--- CompTIA Security+ Certification plus a CCNA or other applicable Networking Certification--- Strong Knowledge of VOIP telecommunication hardware and software components.--- Must be proficient with all phases of installing VOIP phones including running cables.--- An understanding of IP networking--- 4 years of Networking experience is required TIAG is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulationsTIAG's policy applies to all terms and conditions of employmentTo achieve our goal of equal opportunity, TIAG maintains an affirmative action plan through which it makes good faith efforts to recruit, hire, and advance in employment qualified minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans.
