    • This key person will lead the team of SMEs assigned toInformation Assurance activities.
    • The Information Assurance Lead provides management support,focusing on the Information System Security Officers, and the Information System Security Manager and
      Authorizing Official Designated Representative resource allocation and management
    • Provide a highcapability to document, organize, communicate, assess, and review internal process that are subject tofederal requirements, contractual obligations, and external audits.
    • This key person should have theability to ensure that the day-to-day operations are conducted in a manner that supports the NNSAOCIO and Federal stakeholders.
    • The Sr. Information Assurance Lead is required to have a professional certification as listed in DoD 8140such as a CISM or CISSP certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire or contract start.
    • Additionally, this Lead should have prior experience leading cybersecurity teams, preferably InformationAssurance teams.
    • Lead, coordinate, and support a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Information Assurance functions.
    • Manage and allocate resources effectively among ISSOs, ISSMs, and AODRs to ensure full coverage of cybersecurity responsibilities.
    • Develop and maintain internal policies, documentation, and security processes aligned with federal standards and audit requirements.
    • Serve as a key liaison for Information Assurance-related communications with internal leadership and external stakeholders.
    • Oversee implementation and sustainment of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and cybersecurity governance practices.
    • Monitor compliance with security controls and recommend remediation actions for identified risks or vulnerabilities.
    • Provide guidance and leadership in planning, executing, and maintaining cybersecurity initiatives to support evolving IT environments.
    • Stay informed of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvementDesired Skills:
      • Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity standards, frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53), and regulatory requirements.
      • Demonstrated experience with managing or supporting RMF processes in a federal or government contracting environment.
      • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
      • Experience leading teams in the execution of internal audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.O
      • ne or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, or other DoD 8140-approved certification.
      • Additional certifications such as Security+, CEH, or PMP are advantageous.
