Description
SAIC is in need of a - Desktop Support -Technician -in the -Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Maryland -to support the Information Technology Group. -Candidate must be knowledgeable in patching -Windows -workstations using products such as -Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager -(SCCM). -They must also possess a general understanding of using -Group Policy Objects -to implement security requirements on Windows workstations and have the ability to apply standard system OS images, trouble-shoot workstations, and resolve networking issues. -Familiarity with the -Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) -(or equivalent guides/instructions/directives is a major plus.

May be able to work temporarily remote due to Covid 19.

Qualifications
Education and experience:

AA degree and 3 years of experience; or H.S. and 5 years of experience; years of experience may be substituted for a degree as well as relevant certifications such as A+, N+, S+, etc.

Required skills:

Minimum two (2) years of troubleshooting Microsoft supported workstations.

Must have workstation experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

Must be able to resolve networking issues.

Must be familiar with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Group Policy Objects.

Clearance requirement:

Must have a Secret security clearance
