Commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Rich Trumka Jr. -seeks candidate to fill the Policy Analyst and Communications Advisor roles in the Commissioner's office. -Join a creative team working to put consumers first in every agency decision. -You will advise the Commissioner on all matters before the agency. -You will research and analyze agency practices, the scope of agency authority, and relevant precedent. -You will also write speeches, press releases, and other public-facing documents that distill complex issues into simple explanations. -We will work to make the agency more effective in its mission: protecting consumers. -Creative problem-solving is key.CPSC is an independent federal regulatory agency that protects the public from harm in 15,000+ consumer product categories. -We oversee recalls of dangerous products, sue to force dangerous products off the market, pursue penalties against wrongdoers, and educate consumers about risky products.Experience with policy analysis and familiarity with federal regulations are a plus.CPSC is committed to building a diverse workforce.Please send a resume and cover letter to TrumkaResumes@cpsc.gov -
