Work / Shift Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
Compensation Range: Based on experience
Other Compensation: This position is not bonus eligible and it is
not commission eligible

Job Summary:
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a 1st shift
Electrician in Bethesda, MD (6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday). The
Technician will report daily to the EMCOR facility manager and
support him/her to provide quality workmanship and high work
standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary
responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the
electrical needs and general facility maintenance at the facility
while performing general maintenance of equipment as required.
Knowledge of and capable to perform electrical repairs and various
general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen,
possess a valid driver's license and have at least 3 to 5 years of
hands-on experience in facilities electrical maintenance and
dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess
excellent customer service and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and
other systems
Performs a wide variety of electrical corrective maintenance work
request such as ballast and bulb replacements
Maintain a strict electrical preventative maintenance schedule
Maintains UPS systems, emergency generators, lighting systems, A/C
and Heating equipment
Communicates effectively with the Facility Manager to determine
service needs
Coordinates & supervises sub-contractors while performing service
on site
Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or
malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
Must be willing to assist team members in general building
maintenance repairs such as repair and unclog toilets, and other
plumbing related repairs to the facility
Assist in snow removal or small landscaping projects
Assist in the maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at
this facility such as vent fans and circulation fans
Assist other skilled employees to perform projects as requested and
assisting in snow removal when necessary
Perform monitoring of the building automation computer system to
ensure equipment is running and the building temperature conditions
are in range
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
3--5 years of experience related to electrical facility
maintenance
Must be capable of providing proof of receiving COVID-19
vaccination
Valid US driver's license
Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or ability to
apply/obtain upon start date
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
associates of organization
Ability to perform various general type maintenance tasks
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence utilizing basic
computer skills and ability to communicate via email and internet
use
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proven experience as an electrician. Experience in commercial
electrical systems
Must maintain a strict electrical PM schedule
Must have the ability to maintain A/C and Heating equipment, change
filters and clean coils as needed
Responsible for maintenance and repair of electrical systems and
equipment at this facility such as UPS and lighting system
Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire
strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and
blueprints
Organization skills to maintain the client facility maintenance
records and reports
This role requires all new hires who will be required to work
onsite, whether regularly or sporadically to be vaccinated for

Physical Demands:
The ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and ability to walk the
facility throughout the day are required. Have the ability to
regularly kneel repetitively during shift. Have the ability to move
in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis. Have the ability to
work and maneuver on a variety of terrains. Have the ability to
interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner
despite periods of stress. The physical demands described here are
representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally
exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles;
extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise
level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to
work in confined, restricted and hot areas. We are also responsible
for snow removal and there are times in the Winter season when most
of the day is spent outdoors in cold/snow conditions. Must be
willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work
holidays and weekends.
