This team works nationally to provide forensic analysis on cost and time impacts, defective construction, change processes, claims development and response, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and expert witnesses for disputes that cannot be resolved more amicably. We work with owners, developers, contractors, trades, and design teams to help identify, mitigate or resolve, or quantify risks and impacts to construction projects. Our DRA engagements run the gamut from time impact analyses to delay analysis, from assessment of cost overruns to quantification of damages, and evaluation of project controls and contract administration among other disputes. - - - -We are currently looking for a Senior Forensic Delay Analyst to join our team! The Senior Forensic Delay Analyst will apply proven scheduling and project controls to assist our clients in evaluating claims both by them and against them. Our comprehensive schedules ensure that projects are optimally planned, organized, and resourced. Versed in the means and methods of construction, and supported by state-of-the-art software and technology, our staff produces projects that are free of surprises. This position reports to the SVP and VP of DRA.Responsibilities

  • Supports Project Managers with detailed cost and schedule analyses (forensic scheduling and course of construction).
  • Investigate time impact claims and prepare deliverables reflecting findings and expert opinions.
  • Testify as an expert witness.
  • Develops plans to deal with factors that impact critical path schedule.
  • Provide evaluations through preliminary cost and schedule comparisons.
  • Develop and manage fully resource and/or cost loaded schedules.
  • Provide overview of clients schedules for as-planned schedule validation, labor productivity, critical path delay and acceleration.
  • Contributes to scope control, change management and associated implications to project cost and scheduling.
  • Provide estimate validation and adjustments and comparative cost analyses.
  • Conduct Pre- and Post-Construction cost audits and valuations.
  • Prepare and assemble project documents related to claim issues of entitlement and recovery under the contract.
  • Provide direction to other less experienced schedulers.
  • Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by supervisor.Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
    • Experience: 15+ years' of experience in project scheduling or project management. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining cost baselines and project performance reporting. Large infrastructure project experience preferred. -
    • Certification(s): PSP or PMP preferred.
    • Excellent analytical, communication and software skills.
    • Demonstrate technical knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to use one of the following: cost-estimating, construction management, project/program management, scheduling.
    • Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the construction field.
    • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
    • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
    • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment to accomplish goals.
    • Work under executive supervision.
    • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and latitude.
    • Supervise and perform professional competency (cost estimating, scheduling, construction).
    • Develop and nurtures client relationships.
    • Utilize effective written and oral communications and team skills.
    • Perform work tasks by receiving direction and then working independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities. -
    • Demonstrate consistent ability to be dependable, diligent, and thorough.
