sectors. Job Title: General Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a 3rd shift
Maintenance Technician in Bethesda, MD (10:00pm - 6:30am Sunday -
Thursday). The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR 2nd shift
Lead and support them to provide quality workmanship and high work
standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary
responsibilities of this position is to be responsible for the
general facility maintenance needs at the facility and performing
general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and
capable to perform maintenance/repairs and various general tasks
assigned. Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid
driver's license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands on
experience in facilities maintenance and dealing with a wide range
of general type services. Must possess a professional appearance,
excellent customer service and communication skills. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: Communicates effectively with the
EMCOR maintenance team and client to determine service needs.
Coordinates and supervise client sub-contractors while performing
service on site.Repairs of Walls, Floors, Doors and any painting
and Touch up work for beautification of facilityRepair and unclog
toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies and
repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits, as well as all
other minor plumbing related to the facility.Responsible for
maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at this facility
such as vent fans and circulation fans.Maintain a strict PM
schedule of various systems. Manage and maintain the A/C and
Heating equipment, make temperature adjustments, change filters and
clean coils as needed.Performs a wide variety of corrective
maintenance work request. Assist other skilled employees to perform
projects as requested.Perform monitoring of the building automation
computer system to ensure equipment is running and the building
temperature conditions are in range.Excellent customer service and
communication skills. Must have the ability to repair Walls,
Floors, Doors and any painting and touch up work for beautification
of facility.Responsible for maintenance and repair of the general
facility along with the ability to perform all aspects involved
with minor office reconfigurations (planning, coordination,
execution and clean-up).Must have ability to repair and unclog
toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies and
repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits, as well as all
other plumbing related to the Facility.Organization skills to
maintain the client facility maintenance records and reports.Must
perform monitoring of the building automation computer system to
ensure equipment is running and the building temperature conditions
are in range.Qualifications: HS Diploma3 - 5 years of experience
related to facility maintenance.Valid US driver's license.Proof of
US CitizenshipAbility to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
associates of organization.Ability to perform various general type
maintenance tasks. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence utilizing basic computer skills and ability to
communicate via email and internet use.Physical Demands:The ability
to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and ability to walk the facility
throughout the day are required. Have the ability to regularly
kneel repetitively during shift. Have the ability to move in a
90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis. Have the ability to work
and maneuver on a variety of terrains along with assisting the team
in snow removal/shoveling as necessary. Have the ability to
interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner
despite periods of stress. The physical demands described here are
representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Work
Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is
occasionally exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne
particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be
required to work in confined, restricted and hot areas. We are also
responsible for snow removal and there are times in the Winter
season when most of the day is spent outdoors in cold/snow
conditions. Must be willing to work overtime when required. Must be
