Job Description:

Overview: Verbal Beginnings is seeking individuals interested in becoming a Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work part-time with children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training and a supportive work environment. Schedule: Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours, mainly during after school hours between 3pm-8pm, in the child's natural environment. Compensation: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Responsibilities:

• Work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Implement individualized treatment plans for communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills
• Collect and record data to monitor progress and update treatment plans as necessary Qualifications:
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help children with autism
  • Willingness to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) preferred
  • Experience working with children and a valid driver's license
  • Completion of the 40-Hour RBT course is required
